NW Commission Grant

The Northwest Commission was approved for $15,000 in matching dollars of Regional Investment Marketing Grant funding by the Department of Community and Economic Development.

The grant application was submitted in partnership with the Forging Industry Association in preparation for the 18th International Forgemasters Meeting scheduled for September in Pittsburgh.

The Northwest Commission will use the funds to assist with the cost of the International Forgemasters Meeting. The meeting will bring industry leaders and potential investors to northwest Pennsylvania. 

The scheduled plant tours in northwest Pennsylvania, which are part of the Forgemasters Meeting, will provide regional businesses an opportunity to showcase industry and what products and services are available in northwest Pennsylvania. 

The goal of the meeting is to bring investors to NW PA, so that they can see what investment opportunities are available in the Oil Region.
