NBA Star Lorenzen Wright Dies

The body of former NBA star Lorenzen Wright, whose family had reported as missing last Thursday, was found near a wooded area outside Memphis on Wednesday.

Tennessee authoriities are investigating the cause of death.  Wright was 34.

Wright's family says he had not been seen since July 18th.

Wright attended the University of Memphis, but left early when he was made a #7 overall draft pick by the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers.  He would go on to play in 778 games over 13 NBA seasons for the Clippers, the Atlanta Hawks, the Memphis Grizzlies, the Sacramento Kings, and for the last 17 games of his career in the spring of 2009, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He averaged 8 points and 6.4 rebounds a game.
