A bridge on Route 427 leading toward Cooperstown will close for repairs later this month.
The 106-foot, 85 year-old bridge is located between the intersections of Sleepy Hollow Drive and Beatty Run Road. It carries Route 427 over Sugar Creek.
Work will include the preservation of the substructure of the bridge, a new asphalt pavement deck and roadway approaches and updated guide rails.
The bridge is expected to be closed from Monday, June 25 until just after Labor Day.
A detour for cars will utilize Route 322, Meadville Road (state route 4006) and Patchel Run Road (state route 4003). PennDOT’s official truck detour will include Routes 322, 173 and 27.
